Who is Vanessa?

I’m Vanessa Carvalho. I’m the founder and owner of Flora Organics and Waxing&Co, and I’ve spent years working in women’s care, always close to real people and real routines. I’m practical, ambitious, and a perfectionist in the details that matter.

Before Flora, I built my own space in Portugal, then moved to Amsterdam, and later to Norway, to keep pursuing what I believed in. What keeps me grounded is simple: customer wellbeing, and the responsibility to deliver an excellent product or service, every time. I’m here to create care that feels clear, consistent, and genuinely human.

Why i founded Flora Organics

I founded Flora because, after going through health issues, I started looking at everyday choices with a new kind of care, including what I used on my skin. In 2020, I began studying skincare ingredients more deeply, not out of fear, but out of a desire for clarity. I wanted to understand what I was putting on my body, and to choose products that felt genuinely trustworthy.

The beauty industry can be overwhelming, full of noise and long ingredient lists that are hard to read and even harder to feel confident about. Flora became my answer to that. I wanted to create skincare built on transparency and ingredients chosen with intention, so anyone can feel calm and sure about what they’re using.

For me, Flora is personal. It’s a way to turn a difficult chapter into something gentle, steady, and full of care.

What keeps me going

What keeps me going is the people I create for. Every message, every moment of trust, and every person who chooses Flora reminds me why this work matters.

I want people to feel calm when they use my products. I want them to feel confident in what they are putting on their body, and to know that every ingredient has been chosen with care and intention.

For me, this is not only about skincare. It is about creating something honest, something that supports wellbeing, and something that can turn a simple daily routine into a small moment of care.

My message to you
